Project description

The 48-story iconic Transamerica Pyramid building in San Francisco contains over 700,000 sq. ft. of retail and office space. In 2009 we built a 1 MW reciprocating engine cogeneration plant to cover 50% of the building’s electric and thermal load. To this day it runs on a 24/5 schedule at an efficiency of 70%. Timely maintenance service and engine overhauls ensure seamless energy production, and significantly limits unscheduled downtime.
